About Us
Joe and Gail DeMeo operate
a photography business in Estero, on Florida’s West Coast, about 130 miles South
of Tampa. They have considerable experience photographing sunset weddings on
Sanibel and Captiva Islands, as well as at many local country clubs, churches and other
facilities.
Joe is originally from the
Boston area and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
(Accounting major), Cum Laude, from Suffolk University in Boston.
They began their photography
adventure in 1999 when asked to photograph a friend’s daughter’s wedding. From
there, they photographed weddings in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Joe became
a member of the Fort Myers Chapter of the National Association of Wedding
Professionals as well as the Professional Photographers of Southwest Florida.
He subsequently served as an officer and member of the Board of Directors of
both organizations. He is also a member of the Professional Photographers of
America, Florida Professional Photographers and National Association of
Photoshop Professionals.
Joe has studied photography
on his own, as a student of the New York Institute of Professional Photography
and at The Florida School, which is sponsored by the Florida Professional
Photographers. During the summer of 2004 he studied Advanced Wedding
Photography which was instructed by internationally acclaimed photographer
Hanson Fong from San Francisco.
DeMeo Photography not only
photographs weddings, they also do other types of on location photography,
including family portraits, children, beach photography, sports, anniversary
parties, to name a few.
Gail and Joe have two grown
children, a son serving in the US Army in Europe and a daughter who is working
on her college degrees in Fire Science and Business Administration. Gail enjoys
reading and scrap booking. Joe enjoys all sports, plays golf, and is a fan
of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
